What educational offerings are available?

HCU offers a wide variety of seminars, trainings, workshops, and on-site consultations.  Click Events Calendar to see what is currently scheduled.  Please note, the scope of the training is not limited to what is described here.  If you have a need, contact us to discuss how we can assist you in reaching your goal.

I want my staff to attend one of the general session seminars, but everyone cannot leave the office at the same time. How can you help?

Usually general session seminars are held more than once to give everyone a chance to attend.  We strive to hold seminars on various days of the week and times of the day to accommodate any schedule.

What is a customized training? What is an on-site seminar?

Health Choice will work with you to determine your specific needs and expectations.  A customized training session will be developed and presented at your office(s) or in the community room at Health Choice.

How do I request a customized training?

How do you determine what seminars to offer?

The seminar topics have been chosen based on prior years’ evaluation responses, common requests for particular topics and/or speakers, as well as, in response to market news and trends.  If you have a suggestion or request, please contact us.

What venues are offered?

Educational sessions can be presented in a variety of settings such as general session seminars, workshops, panel and roundtable discussion groups or by personal consultation for customized training.

When are the trainings/seminars available?

General session offerings are continually being added to the seminar/event schedule and this may be viewed on the Health Choice website or the MetroCare Physicians website.  Customized seminars are scheduled upon request.  To set up an appointment for customized training, contact Amy McIntosh via email or by calling 821-6775.

Can Non-MetroCare members attend Health Choice seminars?

Non-MetroCare members will be permitted to general session seminars only if seating is available and only if full seminar/registration fee is collected in advance of the seminar.  Fees vary by topic.  In-office consultations and custom trainings are limited to MetroCare members.

How do I register for a class?

You may register online at www.myhealthchoice.com or www.metrocaredocs.com; just click the calendar link, locate your session, and complete the registration form.  You may also email your contact information and the name and date of the seminar you want to attend to RSVP@myhealthchoice.com.

How much is the seminar/registration fee?

There is no fee for MetroCare members and their staff.  Health Choice education opportunities are a benefit of network membership.  Currently the only exception to this is the 3 day Coding Boot Camp.

Are continuing education credits offered for all classes?

Certificates for contact/clock hours may be granted for most sessions.  Many seminars will also offer CEUs approved by AAPC , PMI and other accrediting bodies.
